Who we are

The Cadence Roundtable is a network for professionals from around the world. Members are committed to mutual support for emotional resilience, professional integrity and practical leadership in the face of environmental breakdown. We subscribe to the Roundtable’s core values: emergency-aware, empathetic and co-creative.

The network is managed by its three founder-partners, all based in the UK. If you would like to help facilitate the Roundtable’s activities, please get in touch: we welcome expressions of interest in joining as associate partners.

Paul Bodenham

Development Lead

Paul is based in Nottinghamshire and leads the development of our networks and services. He has nearly 30 years’ experience in local government and in non-departmental bodies, in policy, advocacy, performance improvement and learning, particularly on rural and environmental issues. He is the founding director of a faith-based humanitarian agency based in the East Midlands, and of a charitable project for people experiencing climate anxiety. He counts it a privilege to accompany individuals and groups in navigating the existential challenges of environmental breakdown.

Rebecca Gibbs

Policy and Communities Lead

Rebecca is based in Glasgow and leads our policy work.  She brings Parliamentary, Whitehall and local government experience and holds an MSc in social policy from the London School of Economics.  She is a trained nurse with over five years’ experience training and supporting NHS staff to lead on sustainability in their settings.  Before working in policy, Rebecca spent time as a community worker in South London and lived in off-grid eco communities in Dorset and Southern Spain. Rebecca has a particular interest in the experience of low income communities, families and individuals during and after severe weather events.

Ben Tongue

Professional Practice Lead

Based in Leeds, Ben is a Chartered Environmentalist and Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment. He has experience across a wide range of award winning sustainability and environmental projects, latterly in the NHS to drive sustainability and resilience into digital service development. A PGCert in Innovation, Enterprise and Circular Economy was inspirational in opening the doors to a regenerative systems world view. He has developed a passion for reframing sustainability towards resilience and the story telling that this challenge needs.
